Arizona offers Over-The-Counter Tag sales for mountain lion hunting. Just purchase a lion tag and a valid AZGFD Hunt License and your ready to lion hunt any open management zone statewide August - May.

Our methods of lion hunting include hound hunting in both snow and dry ground. Most days hunting will be spent riding around utilizing the many trail systems to cover as much ground as possible from a 4x4 Truck or UTV until a fresh track is located. Once a fresh track is located the chase is on for the hounds to catch up and tree or bay the lion for a shot opportunity. We also pursue lions on foot or mules behind the hounds in more roadless and wilderness areas or if a fresh lion kill has been located in a remote area.

We mainly hunt out of a lodge located near the Mogollon Rim in prime Lion country for these hunts. After a day of lion hunting, come back to the warm lodge, open fire, and enjoy some good food. Lodge amenities include hot showers, bed, Wi-Fi, and more.
