Deer Hunt Information
Arizona is home to many good public land hunting opportunities for both Mule Deer & Coues Whitetail Deer. Rifle Deer tags and a select few Archery tags can only be acquired in the AZGFD Deer Draw taking place in June each year. Left-Over Deer Tags may be available after the Draw at a first come first serve basis.
Archery Only Over the Counter Deer Tags are also available to purchase for Any Antlered Deer for certain units and times across the state. New Rule as of 2023, there is a limit on OTC Nonresident Archery Deer Tag Sales sold each year on a first come first serve basis. These OTC Deer Tags are valid for each calendar year only. The OTC Hunts are only open in certain areas of the state at select times each year. You can ask us or check the AZGFD Hunt Regulations to see what Units are currently open or closed when your ready to go hunt.
Come experience OTC spot and stalk style hunting for rutting Mule Deer or Coues Deer bucks during the months of December and January with a bow in hand. If your hunting during the August-September OTC Deer Season. You can expect to see the majority of the bucks still in velvet.
We mainly hunt spot and stalk style glassing as much as country as possible for all of our Deer Hunts to locate a mature deer. Hunting in a ground blind on a water source with fresh tracks during arid times can also be productive for shot opportunities.
